2023 Magic Phoenix

During the month of October, the PTO sponsors the annual Magic Phoenix Fundraising Campaign. 

This is THE only fundraiser at Manhattan.

Help us reach our goal to support our teachers' needs! This year we have a goal of raising $35,000-$40,000. If you have not donated yet, please do so to help bring fun, innovative, and exciting new learning materials/guest presenters/curriculum into our classes. October 31st is the last day to donate-don't delay!

 

Each school year our teachers face a familiar challenge: finding ways to maintain the highest educational standards while working with very limited budgets. Every school community in the district faces the same dilemma - the need to reach out to our parent community to raise money to meet needs in our classrooms. Given current educational funding levels, parent fundraising efforts are essential to meeting school needs. We need to raise money to fund the various programs and resources that make Manhattan special. 

 

Money raised through the Magic Phoenix goes directly to purchasing items for the classroom and/or school community as early as November 1 and no later than mid-January. Your donations touch every student at Manhattan and they will directly impact the classrooms and the larger Manhattan community this school year! Every donation counts!

Recommended contribution of $175 per Student (but any donation is welcome!)

The recommended contribution of $175 corresponds to about $1 for each school day.

Volunteer at MMS!

Parents are important part of the MMS community and our school welcomes any time you can give to events and programs for our kids!

What can you do?  Get involved!  Your PTO is always in need of parent support and we have big AND small jobs to fit your busy schedule and time availability.  

If you haven’t already as part of your student’s back to school registration, please fill out the volunteer form

The School Store opens Wednesday, September 6, 2023!

During the 2023-24 school year, it will be open every M-W-F after school.

We will be offering healthy snacks and drinks ranging from $0.25 to $1.50.

Cash and RISE cash will be accepted. If you don’t know what RISE cash is, ask your student and find out if they’ve earned any this year or last.

School swag will be available for purchase at the school store
