BUILD COMMUNITY
The Administration, Faculty, Staff and PTO are committed to creating a cohesive and inclusive environment for students and families at MMS. To this end, parents will be encouraged to:
- Assist with community outreach linking MMS with the Boulder Community
- Coordinate school-wide special events such as the Welcoming Events, the annual Winter Social and the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
- Assist the Fine Arts teachers in producing the Annual Arts Festivals to highlight the accomplishments of our students
- Provide support to the faculty as classroom volunteers, grade-level representatives and hosts of Parent-Teacher Conference evening dinners

GET PARENTS INVOLVED
The PTO is committed to reaching out and involving every parent who would like to be involved at MMS. Every effort will be made to tailor involvement to the schedule and interest of each parent. Long-term as well as one-time only volunteer opportunities will be available. Parent volunteer forms can be found here.
RAISE MONEY
Each year, the PTO raises funds for needs (in alignment with school priorities) through the annual Magic Phoenix Fund Raising Campaign. Each parent of an MMS student receives a letter detailing individual faculty needs or “Wish List” items. Parents are encouraged (but not expected) to make a donation at any level they feel comfortable, towards the purchase of the “Wish List” items. All proceeds from the Magic Phoenix directly benefit the students at Manhattan Middle School that school year.
